NO TOLLS - Holding the Illinois Legislature to their commitment of paying off the bonds and converting the tollway into a freeway

Volunteer

If you can spare three or four hours per month volunteering to work on a committee or, if you prefer working by yourself at home, we may have a place for you. Take a look at some of the volunteer opportunities:

Special Events: make signs, march in holiday parades, participate in peaceful protest rallies, etc.

Writer: write informational stories for the NO TOLLS newsletter; layout and edit a bimonthly newsletter and help with other publications.

Telephone Tree Caller or Group Leader: organize up to ten members to stand ready to call their legislators when a no tolls bill is put before the state legislature.

Sign/flyer Brigade: find locations and post NO TOLL signs and/or pass out flyers at strategic locations throughout your town/village.

Speaker: clubs, fraternal and social service organizations - if you have public speaking skills, this may be an opportunity to get our story out.

Fund Raiser: organize fund drives and solicit contributions from businesses, corporations and individuals.

Booth Attendant: Work a booth passing handouts and answering questions about our goal at the Chicago Auto Show, county fairs, and town and village festivals.

Lobbyist: represent NO TOLLS at legislators’ sponsored events.
